The Month of May is “Conferencepalooza” for The Great Lakes
May 4, 2017 Mary Ellen Geist

Is Detroit becoming a hub for conferences involving the environment and the Great Lakes? If the month of May is an example, the answer would have to be yes.

At least three major conferences will be taking place at Detroit’s Cobo Hall, and Detroit Public Television’s Great Lakes Bureau greatlakesnow.org will be there to cover them all.

Greatlakesnow.org will be covering The International Association of Great Lakes Research, IAGLR, which will be held at Cobo Hall May 15th – May 19th.

Then – For the first time – San Francisco-based Sustainable Brands comes to Detroit’s Cobo Hall May 22nd – May 25th. greatlakesnow.org will be covering this major event for four days.

Then it’s the first-ever Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Green Infrastructure Conference, May 31st – June 2nd, also at Cobo Hall. Greatlakesnow.org will be covering the conference in-depth on June 1st.

Other conferences greatlakesnow.org will be covering:

Detroit Public Television’s Great Lakes Bureau Chief Mary Ellen Geist will be reporting on the River Rally Conference in Grand Rapids this coming May 8th, 9th and 10th.

And greatlakesnow.org reporter Gary Wilson will be covering the “Untrouble the Waters” Conference in Chicago on May 10th and May 11th.
