You’ve heard of shark week. But have you heard of Gar Week? This celebration shines a light on one of the Great Lakes’ most misunderstood fish species. Often called “trash fish,” gars have been relatively unchanged for millions of years, giving researchers a glimpse into what life was like in the Jurassic Period.
