The Trump administration has started the process of rolling back President Obama’s administrative rules that protect the environment – among them the Clean Water Rule and the Clean Car Standard. Both have a significant impact on water and air quality in the Great Lakes region.

Trump claims the rules are “regulatory overreach,” hurt economic growth and he campaigned on overturning them. U.S. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is leading the effort to ditch these rules.

Great Lakes Now’s Gary Wilson talked with former EPA Administrator Carol Browner and got her take on Trump’s action. Browner ran the EPA for President Bill Clinton from 1993-2001 and later advised President Obama.

Here’s Wilson’s interview with Carol Browner.
