Meet Kiyi: the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) that’s going to make the journey of over 1,300 feet to the deepest point in Lake Superior.
ROVs are often used by scientists to explore underwater ecosystems. But Kiyi was built so that filmmakers— like Zach Melnick and Yvonne Drebert from @InspiredPlanet-x6r— can capture detailed footage in underwater environments.
You can see Kiyi in action during the Superior Maximus livestream on June 6 at 1pm.
