Last night on PBS Newshour, viewers around the country saw this segment from our documentary The Ethanol Effect, featured as a special report on water pollution in America’s heartland. Hosted by David Bielo, this segment tells the story of the battle between rural and urban Iowa to take responsibility for environmental damage caused by farming. The city water authority has filed a lawsuit against three rural counties claiming that nitrate from fertilizer is contaminating their urban water supply.

You can view the entire documentary, and read more about the film, and the issues, here.
